3D BioFibR Inc.

Biopolymer fibers, like collagen and chitosan, possess unique mechanical properties and are more biocompatible than the traditional synthetic materials used in medical devices. Using patent-issued dry-spinning technology, 3DBioFibR can produce biopolymer fibers that recapitulate natural structure and mechanics at >3,600x the scale of competing methods. We supply biopolymer fibers by way of two central form factors. The first is a non-woven scaffold, with proven applications in tissue engineering and 3D cell culture. We also supply multifilament yarns, which have garnered significant traction for use in sutures, hernia meshes, and other textile-based surgical materials. We can incorporate APIs into the fibers of any form factor, and can tune degradation rates to facilitate controlled drug release. These capabilities facilitate applications across the biomedical landscape and have allowed 3DBioFibR to service major players in regenerative medicine, orthopedics, and sports medicine.
