AI modeling on electrophysiological datasets has been limited while ion channels represent highly clinically relevant class of targets. Various automated HTS electrophysiology platforms were developed recently. This allows for affordable at-scale data generation, yet the analytics has been lagging behind, keeping this as a niche method. We have developed the ScorpION©  software to automate analysis and developed ML predictive models to extract ‘omics scale datasets. FDA’s push for NAMs and CiPA cardiotoxicity assessment improvement fits perfectly for the implementation of such models. Further neurotoxicity and immunotoxicity may be relevant extensions. Proprietary E-Profiler© patch-clamp recording protocol adds data variability, linking electrophysiology to cell states, metabolic stress, synthetic activity and cell death. Such physiology processes modeling uncovers new biology for epilepsia, neuropsychiatric and cardiometabolic drug discovery among other diseases.
