Freedom Bio is a Yale spin-out with Phase 2 and Phase 1 assets in depression. The co is cofounded by Dr. John Krystal, Chair of Psychiatry at Yale and inventor behind J&J’s blockbuster SPRAVATO. The company focuses on combining rapidly acting antidepressants (RAADs i.e. ketamine, 5th-based psychedelics) with pharmacological modulators (i.e. mTORC1 inhibitor, etc) to improve on safety / efficacy / access of RAADs.
