Founded in 1998, Movac is New Zealand's most experienced and successful venture capital firm. A generalist fund manager, Movac is currently investing from three funds: 

1. - The Emerge fund, an early-stage NZ$45M (~US$25M) fund focused exclusively on deeptech companies, 

2. - The Growth Fund, which targets opportunities from Series A onward, and 

3. - The Growth Opportunities Fund, A secondary fund focused on Growth stage companies. 

For early-stage opportunities (Pre-seed to Series A), Movac typically allocates between NZ$500k - NZ$3M and has the ability to either lead or co-invest. 

The firm primarily engages with companies that have a direct connection to New Zealand, either through material operations in the region, and/or NZ citizens amongst their senior leadership team.
