Founded in 2025, Kagami Innovations leverages the latest digital technology, medical knowledge and procedural know-how for surgical training emerging from a world-leading collaborative research programme between SONY Group Corporation, Japan and the University of Melbourne, Australia. Our mission is to reduce the complications of surgery, improve patient outcomes and reduce the financial burden on health systems globally by developing realistic, convenient-to-use, immersive surgical training tools.

Led by co-founders, Professor’s Jennifer Wilkinson-Berka, Head, School of Biomedical Sciences, Peter Choong, Head, Department of Surgery, and Professor Darren Kelly, Serial Entrepreneur who brings substantial industry leadership. Kagami Innovations is seeking Series A investment of 10 million USD.
